Fort Riley Elementary School builds new 76,445-square-foot facility to serve education needs of military dependents in Kansas

The Geary County Unified School District project was designed to address capacity and condition concerns to correct serious facility deficiencies as annotated in the Deputy Secretary of Defense memorandum approved July 19, 2011. The new elementary school consists of a nearly 76,445-square-foot facility and supports 380 children, of which 224 are military-connected children.

Upon completion of construction of the new facility, Fort Riley held a grand opening ceremony in October 2015.
