Base Reuse

Base redevelopment or reuse can be the single most important opportunity for a community facing a base realignment or closure due to BRAC. Redevelopment creates opportunity for a community to diversify through new jobs and businesses, expand its tax base, or satisfy a range of community needs for new public facilities.

The redevelopment process requires substantial leadership and investment at the local level. OEA works extensively with local leaders to equip them to design and implement a comprehensive redevelopment plan and meet their other responsibilities under the the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process. For more information, visit the BRAC home page.
