Colorado Springs: $1.9M Builds Cybersecurity Workforce To Meet The Needs Of DoD

Industry Resilience

As a result of a $1.9M OEA Industry Resilience investment, Pikes Peak Community College and the Colorado Springs Chamber created the infrastructure to generate a cybersecurity talent pool capable of securing DoD legacy systems and addressing today’s cybersecurity threats. With five military installations and hundreds of defense contractors and suppliers in the local area, the Regional Defense Assistance Program focused on assisting the expansion of the area’s commercial cybersecurity companies and creating a cybersecurity labor pool that contributes to economic growth and the creation of a cybersecurity industry hub. The program has enabled Colorado Springs to be a leader in cybersecurity training and workforce development to meet the needs of DoD.
